Get rid of frizzy/easily tangled hair?!?

It's not horribly frizzy, but it's enough to be a problem. I have thick, wavy, and medium length hair. I tie my hair in a pony tail before I go to sleep, and when I wake up, I comb my hair and then put hairspray on my comb and comb it. This is an okay remedy, but I need something that's easier or that won't get my hair tangled or damaged.

And no, I don't have a hair straightener at the moment.

Well first you shouldn't have your hair in a pony tail every night. Doing that can contribute to the breakage which leads to frizzies. Rubber bands and other hair ties can damage hair and pull hairs out. Other than that I would try a conditioner for damaged hair and maybe a mousse when you are putting it up. You can also tr other treatments like friz ease to helpwhen you get out of the shower or on dry hair it really does help soften hair and smooth some of the frizz.

Use a leave in treatment b4 combing I have the same type of hair works wonders

Well i think you should try an extra hold mouse. it should take care of the frizz and give you a bouncy curly yet tame look to your hair

Put on alot of conditioner in the shower, then while still in the shower, use a wide tooth comb to take out all the tangles. then rinse well.

Consider getting a layered haircut - then it wont frizz, it will just look good.!

Frizz-Ease by John Freida Serum works Inredibly well!!! Even when my hair is not having a frizzy day, it just gives it great texture. A little goes a long way, use it exactly as directed, and i bet you will be impressed after just one use!!!!

It sounds to me like you need to have some split ends removed, VO5 hot oil is good sometimes, i used to fry my hair with cheap blonde dye when i was trying to be mr rockstar, VO5 and use pantene conditioner, or mane and tail, both are great for remoisturizing dry hair. the hairspray doesnt help, if you are using that much hairspray consider a medium hold hair gel, that won't dry out your hair as much, but it can be clumpy on humid days, also blowdrying fries hair.
