i think gold liner or shadows will go nicely with your skin. and you should probably get some palettes with a few different shades of dark brown or something and experiment. new hair style - thats a tough one. maybe you can get your hair flipped like outwards if you know what i mean. like curled out a bit all over? in the movie something new, sanaa latham's hair was realllll cute when she took our her weave. its on the cover of the dvd (imdb.com if you want to look it up) and for make up again, look for celebs with skin tones similiar to yours and steal theyre makeup shades ;] hope that helped! good luck and have fun!

Do you process your hair in any way? Relaxers or straightners? If you don't, you probably should as that will help with manageablity. If your already doing that than just try some different styling options. You can either get wear your hair curly or straight. If you want more natural, you can just scrunch your hair and keep it with anti-frizz products. If you want flat, just get some heat-protective creams or sprays and a good flat iron.

A good hair cut can also do wonders and make it alot less work.

With makeup, just get a good foundation. Pick on that is natural looking. My suggestion is to goto the mall and have bring an instant camera or use ur camera phone. Get the pro's at the makeup counters to give you a makeover. Then take a pic of it. Bring some baby wipes and take it off and try a different counter. I know it sounds tacky, but some makeups just look better than others, and no point in buying one to find out it looks horrible.

So get a good foundation, 2 or 3 lip colors (roses and mauves), and maybe a palatte or two of shades for eye colors (greens or brown/bronze tones)

Oh and if you have a Sephora's near you I would save myself the hassle and just go there. They are one stop shopping for makeup and have real professionals to help you.

i know a couple of black girls (one in my class, both are sisters) and they don't wear make-up except maybe lipstick of a red shade sometimes. the one in my class does cool things with her hair like the angled bangs and up in a bun, or her sister recently did really tight perm and tied it back with a bandana. They have really cool styles. lol
